so iv got myself a 3.5w laser from bang good.

i checked it briefly. it burns paper excellent and makes an insane laser pointer. but thatch the extent im willing to power it up without googles.

its destined for my 3d printer to do some engraving

dose anyone know where i can get some lenses in the UK to protect me that arnt silly expensive

has anyone got any experience using this module. id like to interlock my printer so the high power mode can only be active with the door shut!

These are good goggles for Nd:YAG or Nd:YVO4 lasers, which is not what you have. I don't know exactly what wavelength laser you purchased because you neglected to say, but it isn't a 532nm with 1064nm IR components. These are OD6+, so not bad. As long as your laser is a blue one around 445nm to 470nm, they should be fine.

I ordered mine from darklylabs in Australia into the UK. Eagle pair glasses. Might be best asking them first if they'd put a lower value for customs. It cost me £70 to get 2 pairs but cost me an extra £25 with customs fees as they put the full value on the customs form.
