i am looking for a high powered burning laser.

i have been looking at the thor m2 https://www.ebay.com/itm/3-W-THOR-H...h=item362f001d49:g:D~sAAOSwdGFYy2Nu:rk:1:pf:0

originally found it on the laserpointerstore.com but i don't like the payment options on that website.
i am not locked down to that budget range but ofcourse the cheaper the better.

thing about the thor is that i don't like the way it turns on. basicly if you have it inside your pocket there is the potential for it accidentilly turning on. also i'd rather have a laser that can be on continuosly.

my question is. what laser should i get.
doesn't need to be including battery's since that causes problems with shipping.

and what safety googles.
thanks in advance

If their LPM is an indicator I would steer clear of that
seller.
I'd try JetLaser or Sanwu for my Laser needs.

yes but wich laser. striker. challenger. challenger 2. silver. i don't know these lasers and youtube video's don't do lasers justice. so i was wondering if some have personal experiance with these lasers.

and i have looked at jetlasers. but somehow by brain is screaming 'stay away from these scammers' everytime i am on that website.

Jetlaser's if your on the right link is NOT a scam and the best of the best!
Why the reason of the laser being in your pocket?
There's plenty of entry level cheap Thors that have a tail cap switch also..

because i don't have a case and if i did it would be unwieldy.
for travelling to a friend or whatever.

and yes i can print a custom case for them. i just like it when they can lock like my other lasers. so i don't have to remove the battery for any reason. (especially with kids around)

Like lasersbee mentioned and you said something about not liking laserpointerstore payment methods I would stay away from them also.
On top of them not living up to their warrentee promises the so called Sanwu units they carry are fake copy's.
The real Sanwu's are great unit's but I personally can't tell you about the differenences. Study their sight. I believe the big difference in challenger's is it come's with a bigger battery option and maby diode choices.
Thor's are good entry level and cheap but?? who knows how long they will last. I would look into some custom builds here by members but shipping to you might be the big issue..

i ordered the cheapest i could find from sanwu and from o-like.

the 3 laser combo for 35 dollars from sanwu. and the 1w blue laser for 54 dollars from o-like.
sanwu was ok. either the lasers i got were underpowered a ton. or my old laser from warnlasers back in the day is much stronger then i thought. (some guy here said it's probbably 50mw max when it is supposed to be 200mw)
but sanwu did handle the shipping decently. i dislike the 10 day waiting time before even getting an order confirmation.

the laser i got from o-like is.... i just love it.
it feels like high quality stuff. it burns like a madman. but has the rubber bottom button that gets activated inside my pocket if i sit down.

when i ordered it the creditcard payment page failed. and they sent me a paypal payment option. wich i preffer anyway.
never got tracking info or confirmation. and when i threatened to refund my money i got a tracking number from someone elses order.
but it did arrive and was nicely packaged. and they stayed friendly in their responces.

i understand that sanwu has a great reputation and that the pointers i got were not really a representation of sanwu's quality.
but it did leave a bad aftertaste in my mouth.
but sanwu is probbably going to be where i order my first *real* laser.
but i will take another look at jetlasers aswel.

ps: yes i am being carefull with the 1w laser. don't have the glasses yet but i understand that even the reflections of the reflections are still harmfull

Sanwu, does do the 3 package as an extra, as like you said not their products but selected and metered 301 style mass produced so you know what power your actually getting.
Yes, get at least some better than nothing ebay glasses for "now"..

The reason nobody really recommends the 3 pack from Sanwu is that they don't make them, they're just standard ebay 301s, which should really cost no more than £5-10 each. The Lasers that Sanwu actually machine and set up themselves are excellent. I ordered the Guardian with a 1W 445nm diode /w their beam expander, and it's excellent - properly pocketable, and it really packs a punch for its size.

JetLasers are most definitely not a scam - you'd find it very hard to locate someone on this forum who's had a bad experience with them.

Edit: A quick tip for safety if you're transporting a laser in your pocket - Take out the batteries! Can't accidentally turn on if it has no power source.

You woldn't put a loaded and unlocked weapon into your pocket, would you? You would have a good chance to shoot off your balls.

I can see the point in having an on/off switch when in use, but for stowing away - even for transport - you should take out the batteries and put it all into a sturdy case. If you don't have one, get one. A laser is nothing that should bump around in a junk box. It deserves a proper case.

Something like this, where you can put all your valuable stuff to have it handy when needed.

Such a case doesn't make you look uncool either. It's like the usual moment in the movies, when the bad guy opens the suitcase with all the guns, knifes, magazines, each neatly fit into their own cushion, to pick out the best tool for the job. Everyone likes these scenes.
