hello friends, a long time ago I was a member of the forum. I've bought 501b host 1w 445nm laser from Blord 5 years ago. my laser broke down a few years ago. I can't repair ıt. I'm thinking of buying a new one. (Glasses , battery and charger available)

I'm thinking of buying Thor m2 1.6w 445nm (with laserpointerstore)

Do you think it's a good choice? (Previous laser; https://laserpointerforums.com/threads/for-sale-501b-lasers-with-copper-heatsink-from-80.78452/)

Thor m2 is very cheap (sanwu challenger 1.6w 455nm $ 170 vs) Thor m2 is a good laser?

My English grammar is bad :)

I have a Thor H from laserpointerstore.com. It was sent to me to review as well as one was sent to diachi for the same reason. We both did comprehensive reviews on these lasers and mine is still going strong. I do use it a couple of times a month as I like to rotate my lasers to make sure they are all working well. I know it is not an M2, but it is from the same seller. Hope this helps you.

Thank you for answer,

I am undecided by the Thor h and m2 series. I looked at a topic on the Lpf forum, but I didn't understand the differences. I think there are very similar products because the prices are similar.

I looked at your review very nice. I think the thor series is one of the best choices on this budget...

The Thor H that I have takes two 26650 batteries. They are fairly high capacity batteries, so I like that aspect of this laser. The host is pretty nice looking too, so it is different than most of my lasers that I built myself. I would say if the prices are comparable I would get the larger host.

That one they sent to you was a Thor H2 and takes 2 X 26650 batteries and is a bit larger and more expensive $89 + batteries and charger and shipping, The Thor H and M2 both smaller take 2 X 16340 batteries and are <$60 + batteries charger and shipping.

Back when I got it they called it the Thor H dual power. It is possible that they have another Thor H now and renamed mine the Thor H2, but it wasn't called that when I got it.

I was going by Diachi's review in May 2017 that calls it a Thor H2 https://laserpointerforums.com/threads/laser-pointer-store-thor-h2-review.100641/ and the LPS web site listings so as not to confuse the OP.
H and H2 are different price points and he wants max price $55 which eliminates H2/H Dual Power as a possibility

Good point, Encap. I wasn't looking at the various options on their site, so I just said if the prices are comparable I would get the larger host.

Thank you answers,

I send to message for seller. Based on the answer, I will decide between H or M2.

I was surprised when i watched this video. The test result is 2.2w, does each product produce so much power? (Extra +600mw)

Mine came with a three element lens which explains the 1.6 watt high power setting. Using a short focal length aspheric lens will add another 25% in optical power using the same diode and driver.
