I have been getting slack in my old age. Using Standard S4 Hosts and installing a DTR Module with driver already included.

Sharp 505nm. DTR 12mm Copper with Boost Driver. 2 Element Green lens. S4 Host from Survival Lasers.

Measured output with my Laserbee is 103 mW.

An interesting Colour. Best described as Pea Green. When you put a 532nm next to it the colour difference is very obvious.

I'm enjoying my ~510nm DTR modules. It is a pretty color indeed, but my camera captures the blue in it TOO well and I end up with a picture that looks more like 490nm. Definitely a good one to own if you have a 532nm and want variety. It's pretty close to the eye to the existing 520nm diodes, but I can tell them apart next to each other.

Don't worry; there's nothing shameful with using pre-built modules. I'd rather have DTR do the soldering anyway.

Turns out that my 520nm pointer from LaserLands measures almost exactly 510nm, so I have got a 510nm to compare with. I know what you mean as this pointer looks very blue next to a unfocused 532nm, especially if you put the focused dot of the 510nm inside the unfocused light of the 532nm.

Nice build Mosc,
another 505 down under

What current u running the diode at? X-boost or Nano?

No idea. It was preset by DTR. I wasn't expecting 100 mW. DTR is pushing it. X-boost i believe.

Looks like a GREAT laser, nothing to be worried about. I still need to get around to getting a 505 when funds are a plenty

You want me to hang onto one for you, Alex? I'll see what I can do if you would like. It would be a 503nm one if I can do it.

Depends on what you are looking for. I was planning on binning a diode, but I suppose I could build it for you too. It really depends on if I am able to get another one. I'll let you know when the time comes. :yh:

I also ordered 5x of the 505nm from existotem. Will bin them all when they arrive. Since I am more interested in wavelenghts <503nm, I could sell or trade the higher ones.

Singlemode

That is very nice of you, Singlemode. I'm sure there are people here that will be interested in actual measured diodes. It is the inability of knowing exactly what the center wavelength of these diodes is at room temperature that drives people around here nuts. Most people here are also interested in the lowest WL 505nm diodes. The fact that the SB147EC91s turned out to be 510nm diodes kind of added a margin of imprecision and doubt about these new diodes.

Diodes arrived today! Hope to WL bin them till friday and post the results. The mount for the diode along with the new diffraction grating are ready to pull the diode to 497nm at room temperature. My plan is to offer the diodes that I can,t push to 497nm, but since my housing is hermitic sealed I can use my double stage TEC to reach -40°C at least.

Is there any interest in other measurements of the diode itself? My ultra low noise current supply can provide up to 200mA (with the case beeing not grounded, like it is for the 503nm diodes).

PS: I am also interested in the 5,6mm Osram 450nm diodes that can operate stable at 458nm or higher and one of the 473nm sharp diodes at the high end of the wavelenght. The same applies for high power single mode 405nm diodes that run at <401nm.

I can offer some binned 451-453nm diodes or the new binned 503nm ones for change if somebody is interested, and to WL bin everything else that is shipped to me.

Singlemode

Sounds good, Singlemode. I ordered four of these diodes not long after you did, so maybe the ones I ordered will get to me soon. I know we are not in the same hemisphere. Not even close, but I am optimistic. :yh:
