Looking for most powerful laser for about 100$

I'm basically looking for the most I can get for ABOUT $100. Preferably 520nm. I'm really hoping someone may have a slightly used custom build exceeding 200mW I've seen others on here for about $100. The ones I've seen are blue though, I'm searching for the most powerful green laser I can get basically. For let's say maybe even $120 or so

Ye 250mW? I was hoping there's something stronger I could get I mean it would be nice to see it very clearly during the day and be able to light for example the wooden stick part of a match about instantly

Unless your set on green Sanwu has some nice laser 50-100$ like the 250mw 650nm

Then you're going to need to spend much more than $100. You'll need to spend ~$50 just on decent safety glasses.

When you say "see clearly" during the day, do you mean outside? Inside? The beam, the spot?

The beam. Like a nice 520nm I believe rather than 532nm. I have glasses, I have access to a welding shop where we have eye safety equipment. From goggles to hoods

Edit
I just saw on a thread elsewhere that someone mentioned being able to build a better laser at half price of a 200-250$ example

Welding masks/glasses/goggles ARE NOT sufficient for lasers. You need protective glasses/goggles specifically for lasers.

What sort of lighting conditions? Direct sunlight? Well lit room? Atmospheric conditions, smoke, rain, fog, clear? Even at 1W 520nm you'll be hard pushed to see the beam during a nice clear sunny day outdoors, maybe if you're in the shade...

Edit: A 1W 520nm will cost you upwards of $200 just for the diode/driver/module, never mind the host and someones time to put it all together. You could save a little money and build it yourself.

Also, please avoid double posting (two posts in a row), it's somewhat frowned upon here. Use the edit button to edit your previous post (like I'm doing now! :))

$35.99 Green Laser Pointer Pen Powerful Adjustable Focus Beam Battery Glasses 650nm 5mW | eBay
(This one likely has an acrylic lens, I owned a 445nm version, a 30 sec burst tosated the lens. Some sellers at least claim to use a glass lens -always higher cost- message seller about glass lens if you go after this style host)

$89.79 Green Beam Light Laser 1 w High Power Military Pointer Pen Battery Charger Box | eBay
(The one review on this one says 800mW measured but build quality is a 2.5 out of 5, this is the one I would try if I were going to but "cheap" again.

My advice, message seller for a quote on mW. Have laser shipped to someone with an LPM. When it doesn't measure up get your $ back via ebay or paypal protection.

There, a green laser and safety glasses that "MIGHT" not be total junk.

Good luck, buyer beware.

Green laser - advertised as 650nm (red). Probably junk (Common cheap Chinese host...). I'd bet 100mW tops, or around there. I'd be surprised if you get the advertised 200mW.

This one at least has the wavelength right. Again, best guess, ~100mW at most, 200mW if you're really lucky. Probably a 301 module in a different host... Glasses that may or may not be considered "better than nothing".

Buyer beware indeed...

I recommend just going with a reliable seller off the bat.

OP - Have you had any experience with >5mW lasers before?

If your asking for 1w of 520 that means you need to do some reading on this forum and some research for sourcing parts. Please invest in knowledge and use extreme caution. The information on this forum is free. Everything you need to know is here. Your basically asking for a new pistol for $100. Consider how that comes across. We dont want to help you hurt yourself or other people or bring this hobby into bad light. No offense my friend. BTW 1w of 520nm done right is going to run around $400-$500 if you assemble a few parts. Fill out the details about where you at and a post in the introduction thread would be good form.

Yeah like I said in our PMs, you can gamble with eBay but you will most likely get scammed through there especially from that 1W 532nm with glasses battery and charger that AaronT sent you, I'm sorry but I just have to chuckle at that item  I just dont think that's possible for $90.

I can build you a 111mW 520nm laser for $180 or a 1.9W 445nm laser for $200 (batteries not included but I will cover shipping).

I did some research. I was fooled by seeing so many Chinese examples of 1500mw or 1000mw for 100-200$. In all honesty the reference to a pistol for 100 was spot on. I have owned and shot many guns and I would practice even more safety with a >10mW laser. I could severely impair friends myself or others and I fully understand. I realized green is not the best option. Now after some reading and research I've seen 200mw greens going for around 60 but it's a slippery slope for pricing because of parts needed to support and produce higher power. I started looking into the blue/purple lasers.

Yeah you will get more wattage per dollar for blue than for green. If youre power hungry on a budget then blue is the way to go.
