That's a real example of using common objects for a new purpose. Notice how the depth of field goes out the window as the magnification increases. I have a 500X digital microscope and have done this same thing. + REP for doing it the hard way.

i used a laser lens to take macros with my ipod camera and I looked at a laser beam aimed at a wall at the under a microscope 10x. i seen the beam moving like snow flakes and it was neat to adjust to see diff parts of it. I have a LED'd red new wish red module i should hook it up to my power supply and look at it at 10 50 or maybe 100x

oh and don't look at laser beams unless you clospin them down first and they were under a 100mw. Don't try it with 100 or more. Don't even think of trying it with a 445.
