So I've ordered a 200mw laser from O-Like recently, and the tracking has been stuck at the J.F. Kennedy airport since 8/17 for "RECEIVED AT DESTINATION TRANSIT CENTRE". I assume the package was seized by US customs since it should only be at that stage for 2-3 days.

If it was seized, can I get in actual trouble/be prosecuted? Will they knock on my door?

Or will I just not get the package?

Thanks guys

8/17 was a friday. Give it another couple of weeks before you start hitting the panic button.

Unless you were trying to import many lasers, you don't have much to worry about, except losing the laser itself.

Okay, thanks. I did forget that 2 days were weekends so hopefully it should clear out within a few days/weeks.

Depending on where you are in the US (you may want to add that to your profile btw, hint, hint ;)) you will most likely receive it late this week, or next week.

Thanks for the reply. I'll add it. Also, instead of the (crappy) supplied tracking site, I tracked it through USPS and it said:

"Processed Through Sort Facility" at location "ISC NEW YORK NY(USPS)" so would that mean it did get through customs?

My order from o-like was stuck at the customs port in ca. For a week.
Waiting on things to clear customs sucks, but most things make it through. Mine did.

Yeah, so I checked the tracking for some unrelated cables shipped from china and they were stuck at customs for 5-6 days so I assume that it's standard time (like you said.) Looks like I really don't have anything to be worried about.

Normally I wouldn't be concerned but I'm muslim and my last name is khan so that raises a lot of red flags, lol.
