I am a mechanic by trade and I need flashlight with the following:

-Fits in my pants pocket

- <$50

-uses a single 18560 or 2 16340 batteries

- LED

-durable, can withstand being dropped from <6 '

I bet you guys have many ideas for me but I don't know of any.... and I am sick of buying disposable batteries for my current flashlights:(

:thanks:

Solarforce hosts + XM-L drop-ins.
The drop ins are interchangable on thier hosts, so pick a host you like, this particular one is what I have.

The assembly is as simple as unscrewing the head, dropping in the module (hence the name), and your good to go.

Solarforce L2 Host for 18650 Battery - Body with Head and Switch, all Black Type 2 Anodized

Solar Force XM-L Drop-In 3 Mode

Note this is a very bright light (~700Lm).. if you are looking for dimmer, or one with more throw, check out thier XP-G drop ins. (You can always run it on low mode, but thats just my preferance there.)

Would you happen to know the max amperage that the XM-L will draw?
