I am so happy... my first 593.5 (Wicked Lasers Evo Limited Edition) turned up today from styropyro. Shipped out on the 21st (in the US) and arrived today (27th in Australia).

I will get some pictures up when I figure out the battery polarity (so I don't fry it immediately).

The host has a nice weight to it and is a lot bigger than I imagined.

I need to charge my batteries and wait till it's dark to try to get some beamshots

It hasn't mode hopped on me yet. Output is very unstable from a cold start though.

Anyone know how to disassemble this host? If it dies I want to polish it and put a new module in :)

Also, what is the pink tinted piece of glass in the end of the laser? I'd have thought an IR filter would have gone there but I thought they were blue?

They look blue for 532nm but it needs a different coating for 593.5/589nm. The one on my rigel is orange.
 
Great photo?Dude ,you guys need to get your eyes checked,no offense but the photos are terrible, blured,dark ,has no focus and don`t do any justice to the laser itself:-)
 
That is true.. my phone camera is s**t... still no need to call him on it.

Not all of us have good cameras. No need to be complaining.
 
It came express through customs and wasn't opened.

If it had been though it's <2mW might have just passed an eyeball test.
