TrustFire TR-3T6

This Flashlight is the most impressive Chinese light I’ve received to date!

Advertised output: 3,800LM
Actual output: 1,500 – 1,700LM
Bought from: TrustFire CREE XM-L T6 5-Modes 3800LM LED Flashlight Electric Torch - Tmart.com

I’m truly amazed by this light. It uses 3 XML-T6 LED’s powered by 2 x 18650 batteries. Approximate run time on high is 30-45min. It pulls from my freshly charged batteries totaling 8.3 Volts @ 2.6 Amps totaling 21.58 Watts! This thing is a beast. Driver Modes are High @ 2.6Amps > Medium @ 1.6Amps > Low @ 0.3 Amps > Strobe >SOS. The driver does have mode memory.

Pros:
1.) Good O-Rings
2.) Arrived with grease on threads
3.) Great Heat Sinking
4.) Very Bright
5.) Driver has Mode Memory
6.) Good Anodizing
7.) Great Threads
8.) Stays very bright up to the point of the batteries death.
9.) Stays cool enough to hold on to it even after 30 min on high.
10.) Very Floody Light with a big hot spot
11.) Small for it’s output
12.) Very well made and assembled
13.) Arrived in 4 days. (Shipped from the USA)

Cons:
1.) High current draw requires high quality batteries
2.) Not all threaded areas have double o-rings, but you can put additional o-rings on.

As you can see, this light IMHO is worth the money. Its quality matches the quality of flashlights priced at 3-5 times this price.

2.6A is nothing from a regular 18650 :D

Were those numbers using the trustfire cells you pictured?

Thanks for the pics of the guts :)

Yes.
Considering when the voltage starts to drop, the current increases, it is something to worry about. Also, on 18650 batteries that are protected, the protection kicks in at 3.5 amps on a lot of them.

This light really is awesome though... Lol

No lumen meter owned. I made an educated guess based on other verified lights that I have. Plus other reviews of this light post the same values. :)
