Beam is close to violet.
Scattered reflections are close to violet.
Dot is a deep indigo. More blue than violet, but is definitely not "true blue."

When comparing 405, 445, and 473nm, the difference is quite clear.
405 is pale in comparison to either. 445 is the "deepest" color and the harshest to look at. 473nm is soft and pure in comparison to either.
I should try to get some comparison pictures today since I have the day off.

You still going to do some comparison pics? Cause I am really interested in the differences between 405 and 445.

Indoors, cant see the beam so well with glasses on, dot color is dependent on target. Outside at night, no glasses, beam is a deep blue for me. Dot also looks blue out there. Friends agree that it looks blue (with no prompts, simply “what color does this look like to you”)
