M140 lens is strange? c6 build

i just finished assembling a c6 laser host build thing with an M140 445nm 1 watt diode from DTR

I got everything to work it seems, but the lens has a blurry patch right in the middle, what it honestly kinda looks like (but not exactly like) is as if some moisture is trapped on the underside of the front most lens.

Im not sure if this is likely. The residue or whatever is not on the outside, i tried cleaning it with a cloth, but nothing about it is changing, and it's clear to me its on the inside.

This is really dissapointing, it makes the beam seem hollow, much of the power is being either absorbed or scattered by this fog that is on the lens

What can i do about this if anything??

I know camera lens can grow fungus between them if not stored properly. Maybe its something like this. You also better hope you didn't burn whatever it is onto your lens by using the laser before figuring the problem out. Plua side, its just a lena so worst case, $10 replacement

What lens is this??
Did it come from DTR and what did it look like the day it arrived?
The AixiZ glass lens is three element so there are two spaces- if this is a 'G' aseries lens it is a single Glass Lens - so there is no 'inside' afaik.
did you use teflon tape or anything else in the threads? did you use Superglue around this lens?
I have handled hundreds of Lenses from AixiZ and NEVER saw one like this.

I guess you could mail it to Jeffthe00 and send a few dollars(and a SASE) and he will clean it for you with 'first contact' - if that wont clean it AFAIK nothing will- I would offer to send you one free but as you neglected to add your location in your profile.

You also made a common 'social faus pas' by seeking help before making an introduction to the forum community in our WELCOME section- not too late to go do that- see the threads there by others if you need an idea of what we like to hear from ALL our new members- you may as well add it- your IP can tell us where you are coming from but we would rather hear that from you. 1 W is hot- so hot many things on a lens would burn or melt- did you see this 'cloud' the very first time you used this laser?? it looks like something may have burned on your outer element- can you see this when looking at the flection at an angle- thus not seeing into the lens but seeing the refection-off the surface -- if it is on the 'inside' you should not see it when looking at the reflection.

and yes there has been a thread about lens fungus.

I burned a tiny strand of teflon tape on the innermost lens(between the die and the lens) on a M-140 build. Thermal pasta or arctic cement can burn also-
The lens had to be tossed.

Hi Hakzaw, the lens is a 3 element glass lens. Im not sure what the lens looked like the day it arrived because I did not take it out from the package until i was ready to build it, which was today.
It is in fact from DTR, and I didnt really get a good look at it before I put the whole thing together. All I noticed was that after i had it assembled and focused, it seemed to lack power, and the beam was clearly brighter around the edges?

This is not an excuse, but I had been corresponding with several members before i ever posted anything here, and my first post was something adressing a certain member i had been conversing with for some time. Sorry if it seems im ungrateful for the service you people provide. I just didnt really feel it was appropriate to introduce myself when several of the members already knew me and had been talking to be for a few days, but i see now that notion was naive.
