Greetings!

After being away from this lovley forum for about 2 years. I really wan't to get into it again! :)

So, I'm looking for a 445nm laser, small, sleek design that is a class 3b laser to complement my DL Aurora 532nm. Class 4 is nothing for me due to laws and other regulations.

I've been looking at lasers such as www.rayfoss.com or http://www.rayfoss.com/productn.asp?ArticleID=120 and I really like them, but then again, Class 4... Most 445's seem to be at this power :<.

Anyone have any idea of where I could find one of these that suits me?
Do laser companies ususaly customize the power output if the buyer wants it lowered?

My glasses I have right now are rated OD>4 @ 190-533nm, should be fine for 500mw's of 445nm. Right? :)

Thanks for reading and hopefully some guidance :thanks:

Most custom build 445nm laser can be set at a power lower than 500mW.
Look at buy/sell section for low power 445nm. Or I can build a single-mode 450nm laser in a small C3 host.

Thanks for the responce! :)

I've sent a mail to rayfoss asking about it. Checking the buy/sell at this time.
Or, I might aswell get back to you with a request later on ;).

Thanks! :)

PS, How come it seems to be a rare request to get a low-powered 445-450. Power hungry people! xD

Most buyers are looking for high power laser because they want the strongest, fastest, most impressive etc. for the money. For me that isn't important. Good beam spec, nice Gaussian round dot, uncommon wavelength, that is what matter to me.

I do recommend the single-mode 450nm laser for low power blue.

At 500mW, this is the upper limit of class IIIb. Still not really what I'd call safe for pointing. Not that'd I'd suggest it either.

Blord fixed a custom 450mw 445nm for me, case closed! :)

Thanks for your concern!
