I personally use AdBlock and it's rendered browsing the internet back to the days before always having crap pop up, it's great! I do occasionally get an ad every so often but it's nowhere near what a user without any sort of AdBlocking program would be getting.
I just tested this by going to the LPF homepage and no extra ads apart from the dead links. :yh:

These guys don't waste their adds like that on 20 years old, I feel targeted regardless of the professional definition of what it is. Next I will be seeing advertisements for diapers in a few years. Thanks Hap, Rivem and diachi. let's see what I can do.. I've noticed if you post on a subject here, the advertisements are tailored for your comments. This generates support for the forum, so not a terrible thing, but the old folk stuff can stop.

I do need to look into ways of blocking advertisements. Look at that one though, the lady with him looks 15-20 years younger than him and he's smiling.

If you're using chrome or firefox, look for an extension called "ublock origin". They aren't sellouts like some of the other ad blocking options are.

Just visit a dating site once in the same browser you use for LPF and from then on it'll give you a very heart warming selection of ads instead.

:crackup: Targeted ads are just a little bit ridiculous now days aren't they? What's even worse is if I use my phone to look something up, I see stuff based on what I look up on my desktop because the privacy invading ad companies have linked the two.
