I'm in California right now at my friend's house. Tonight at 9:38 I noticed a green laser being shined from behind a wooden fence, then I thought I saw a second green laser next to the first.
The car window was up and we drove by too fast before I could scream "GREEN LASER AHHH!! LASERPOINTERFORUMS!!!" lol

 Wouldn't it be more likely to be some random guy with greenie from china then an LPF member?
Now if it was 445 chances go way up of course. :san:
When people scream "GREEN LASER AHHH!!!" at me I usually head the other way

LPF needs some kind of semaphore, or morse 'calling card' when shooting beams. A "secret handshake" viewable from a distance.

Excellent idea Aryntha!
We need a driver with a multi morse code memory feature. Should come preset with "LPF" in the 2nd memory slot (sos in 1st of course). I'll be adding that to my laser mcu when I build it.

Honestly 532nm lasers aren't that rare anymore. You can get em on ebay for like $7 shipped now. Seeing a random guy shining a cheapo green around doesn't mean much. 405nm blu-ray pens are also catching on at ebay selling for like $9 shipped so odds are you'll start seeing more people with them.

445 NM means that there's probably a very high chance of them being a member here. They either got the knowledge to build one or bought one of them in the BST forum. This will all change the moment people get their arctics from WL. I don't even wanna think about how many people ordered those.

If you ever see someone with a 473 or yellow laser it means that they're probably an enthusiast as nobody else would pay the price just for a weird color. They may or may not be a member here though.

I shoot my 445nm laser up every night at around 11pm EST in hopes of another laser enthusiast seeing it :p

I'd say from the distance I was seeing it at, and the fact it was a side angle, it was between 100mW and 200mW. However the divergence looked terrible (unless it was a focusable laser)
