Was reading the paper today, and came across a lovely report.

LASER HIT ON AIR CREW

A man faces up to two years in jail after he allegedly shone a laser at a police aircraft during a party last weekend.
Air Wing crew were struck by the laser from the ground about 9.40pm on Saturday and were able to pinpoint the origin of the laser in Craigie Court, Hampton Park.
They used an infra-red device to film a 21-year-old Cranbourne man, who was charged with interfering with an aircraft, reckless conduct endangering life and possessing a prohibited weapon.
The man was bailed to appear at Dandenong Magistrates Court on November 24.
Interference with crew or aircraft is a federal offence.

Only sad thing is that this was all the way back on page 25, so less people will read it. I think there needs to be much more laser safety awareness around the general public :\

The more visibility that dumb people with lasers get, the more it endangers the hobby. Page 25 is good. :D

Glad he got in trouble though, that's just dumb.
