Hey guys, I am new here, but I would like to say :thanks: to everyone in this wonderful forum. Let me put it to you this way, a couple months ago I tried to find some good information about lasers. I achieved no real success through Google, so I forgot about it for awhile. Then, I found this forum, and there has been way more information then I could ever absorb in a timely manner :D

Here is my 100mw(model BO3) Rayfoss greenie.

I ordered it on Dec 20th, it arrived on the 11th of Jan. Little bit past the estimate, but I attribute that to Christmas and New Years...

Pros:
Cheap, only $75.
Feels nice in the hand
Focusable, though this is hardly necessary with greens...
Small enough to fit in your pocket, but big enough to not heat up too quick
Nice uniform design(head is not bigger than the rest of the host).
Comes with two good batteries, and a charger.
Nice keylock endcap to prevent accidents and/or abuses by unknowing individuals.
Comes with one 18650 for full power, and a 16340 so you can take off the extension tube and have it a little more mobility at the cost of slight power reduction. (this doesn't work to well, see cons)
Not sure if it is exactly 100mw, but it looks like it. Another member LMPed it at 118mW, but some of this is likely IR.
It amazes everyone I show it to. First night I took it out I had two random cars stopped on the road yelling at me to point it at stuff

Cons:
Sometimes the beam is too bright to see the dot on objects really far away
Host isn't really heavy duty, not the best machining.
Button isn't as solid as I would like it to be.
Keylock isn't super solid, sometimes it moves in place while you turn it.
When you use the smaller battery without the extension tube, the "button" on the positive of the 16340 makes the battery too big for the endcap(this laser is case positive) to fit properly, the 18650 does not have this problem. Also, the extra pressure causes the button to stick which is unacceptable.
Picture illustrating this...

And finally, the biggest con. There is alot of "splash" around the dot. This seems to be common with rayfoss lasers, but it still kinda sucks. The actual light doesn't bother me, it's the fact that that light should be in the beam/dot :undecided:
Note: there does seem to be some dust on the lens, any suggestions how to clean it?

Beamshots

The beam is visible inside during full daylight(lots of windows in this room).

Room with fog(daylight outside). Who said lightsabers aren't real?

These next pictures are with the laser pointed at a tree around 300 yards away.

Overall I am VERY happy with this purchase. For the price, the wow factor is pretty awesome.

Thanks for reading! Seeing this is my first thread, please leave feedback.

Nice review!, nice to know it includes both batteries.

I have two lasers from rayfoss including a 50mW-FLX and im very happy with it too, mine came with a little splash but since it is not really close or next to the dot and when unfocused the dot is all clean too i didnt mind.

I feel tempted to clean it using a Q-tip and a cleaning solution but i am affraid to make a mess and just make it worse, so all i have been using is compressed air only.

Nice review! I have the same laser with the same problems. If I use the smaller battery the button sticks and sometimes it won't even laze.
I like the laser though and it's not bad for 75 dollars shipped!

Off topic- is that a husky?

Nope, that's my brother's German German Shepperd, apparently using German twice means almost it's entire body is black instead of black/brown. That thing goes nuts everytime I take out my lasers, which kinda sucks when I'm not trying to play with her, which I never do with high powered lasers like this one...

Haha I was gonna say, I have a English mastiff and an English bulldog who go off the wall anytime I pull a laser out, they know whatsup, so I had to go get a 1mW red from walmart so that they could chase it!
