Hi :) ,

So as said , I got 5 of these Arcane hosts that I designed.

I had some free time today and decided to use my 635nm diode that is sitting there for over a month now :)

And this is the result :

It does over 1050mW at 1200mA with the 405G2 Lens :)

Burning video :eg:

This laser runs on 1x 18650 battery. The driver is a 5 mode driver : High ( 1200mA ) \ Med \ Low \ Strobe \ SOS

A video of the 5 modes :

The duty-cycle on it is very good. You can turn it on for like 5 minutes. But I would stick to 2 minutes for best life expectancy :)

All in all , I really like how the Arcane host came out at the end. I redesigned it about 5 times until I got to that design with the side clicky button.

After I will build the last 3 Arcanes , I will start designing another host :) The Arcane might not be back for a second run.

This laser is also up on sale in my website and in the Buy&Sell&Trade Section.

Thanks for watching !

Wow! That's a lot of power. You're one of the few in the 1W 638nm club :p

You should mention the horrible bar shaped dot of the 1 Watt 638nm diode. It is far worse than the 445nm blue dot.
Also I don't consider this as a review but more as a show case of your laser.

Yes it is more like a show case I guess :)

Thanks for the comment

Well, I just bought one. This'll be my first red since the keychain pointers from years ago.

Wow that's ery nice and powerful 635nm laser, that host looks beautiful and especially the mirror finish around the aperture.

I've got a 638nm module in my projector and it looks very nice and a lot brighter than the 650nm in my older system.
I've been looking at buying one of these nice Reds next .

Warning noob question incoming. Is the 635nm more towards orange then the 638nm? And with just 3nm difference would you be able to notice this by eye?
