That one uses AA batteries, so is a bit bigger in diameter...much more room and better battery capacity though.

I have sent a couple of e-mails to a manufacturer in china to see if I can get a GB up and running....no reply yet :(

I think AA batteries are better anyway, most rechargeable batteries are AA.

That one has the push button rather than the clicky switch, I will be very interested to see how you get on with it.

@MB500....I have seen these torches advertised with a little plastic holder for the three batteries side by side, it ocurrs to me that you could discard one of the batteries and build the driver in that space ::)...I may have to give it a try some time.

Actually that model has a pre-existing LED driver board that needs to be jumped over, or the laser driver needs to be made after that driver. Then you get less space. But that is definatley a good idea.

Its also ssold at target :)

I bought these a while back (for the purpose it's intended) and I really like the switch and they are good flash lights.  They take the 3 AAA's.  There is a hallow space behind the switch (the rectangle on the picture) making plunty of room for a driver.  The Aixiz modue needs to be grinded down about 1/16" to fit to the + contact and in the glass.  I'm waiting for them to arive so I can do my hacks, but I need this flash light as a flash light!  http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.3200
