I have heard bad reviews for Wicked Lasers (33 reasons why not to buy...), but they has realy good looking lasers...

What do you think about their Core 5mW green laser ?

(just want <6 mW with IR filter, on DX there are low priced lasers without IR filter...)

Is there something bad on WL Core 5mW ? Anyone has it ?

I told myself, they were bad, but what should they give me instead of that 5mW ? :yh: 1mW ?

What do you think ?

Thank You.

PS: Hope true 5mW beam should be visible at night ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=woiTedSKPrk )

I wouldn't risk it,

It could take months to ship it out if your unlucky.

I wont lie the host on some of the lasers are just amazing.

But here are some of the reasons not to buy from them.

1. Lasers are UNDERSPEC
2. Horrible Customer support
3. Laser breaks easy
4. Poor Quality accessories. *Never buy safety glasses from there.
5. Battery explodes

Just dont do it i highly reccomend it for your safety.

Try researching different companies they have good host's to.

Here are some i reccomend,

Green Lasers, Laser Beam Optics, Lab Laser Equipments :: Dragon Lasers
Green laser, Blue laser, Infra Red laser, IR laser, UV DPSS laser.
lazerer.com
Welcome to O-like,the source of good quality laser products at unbeatable price and perfect service !

Ok, I will not risk :)
I cant believe why WL is that bad company, they wasted too much money for design (web sites, hosts) and they lost everything on communication (buyer services). OMG. I d like to see their Boss :)

thank You,

Here are some i reccomend,...
CNIlasers.com - there are no prices ? Is it possible to order just one piece ?
Dragonlasers - they start at 15mW, I am looking for 5mW :-(
o-like.com - I will check.... :)

btw. do you know about good company in Europe ?
I love lasers (Altair 5mW) at laserglow.com but prices and shipping to EU are too high :-(

The core is one of the best 5mW greens in my opinion. They have issues with their other models, but the core is a good buy. They keep it in stock - you should get it in a month or less.

And what about the quality ?
Is it realy 5mW (I dont want 1mW, already have 1-5mW red) ?

Do you have WL Core ?

I have a 5mw core, had it for about 2 years now & it works the same as the day I got it. Despite WLs bad rep that I've read about numerous times on this forum I personally have no complaints about their products. If anything, you may wait longer than you think to receive it after placing an order - but I've come to learn that's pretty much the case with anything coming from china.

I have a 5mW WL Core still, purchased it in 07'. It is the only laser I purchased from WL that has not has some major fault, death, or degredation of performance in all that time.

My Nexus has mode hopped permanently to TEM30, and the pushbutton isn't making good contact most times, for comparisson.

1. There 5mW core lasers are not underspec according to every review I've seen.
2. Customer support got back to me within an hour last week.
3. Really?
4. They probably could use better glasses but you probably don't need them for the 5mW core.
5. Core takes standard AAA batteries so these aren't going to explode without a little help.

If you are looking for a good 5mW green laser pointer and you are considering the core I say go for it. From what I hear it is one of their best quality lasers anyhow. It has been really trendy lately to bash WL. Some negatives from the past are true but looking at the company and their products in the present might give you a different perspective.

The WL Core is a nice little laser, it's sturdy and well made. A little over priced tho (altho I got one free :) ) It will last you a long time if looked after properly too

The CORE is the only laser I would trust from WL. I've had two; the one I ave now and one which I got for free from one of their forum contests 4 years ago. The free one worked fine but had a scratched lens when I got it. I ended up converting it to an IR illuminator (removed the DPSS crystals, added a collimating lens and a plano-concave lens) for use with night vision. That was years ago though and I didn't end up keeping the converted on.

The 5mW core is the only laser that should be purchased from WL IMO. I got mine from them for free and so far it has been working well, it's just to bad that can't be said about any of there other lasers.

I can also vouch for the Core. I got mine in scopeguy's group buy a while back. It puts out ~4mW and is rock-solid stable with very little scatter.

Its funny how the only decent laser WL carries is a 5mW pointer, LOL.

TJ, I've been laughing about that for a long time.

They could turn that into a new advertising slogan: We sell only the best legal lasers!

*our illegal ones aren't all that great...
