Becoming a daddy and getting a laser all in one day?

Thanks for the reviews. These look a lot better than the cheap green pen's he's selling. I may pick one of these up after Christmas with some of my Christmas money.

Congrats in the little one too.

I bought the same laser from Itemquickship. The first one died within minutes of trying it, and even after trying new batteries, it died. My second one they shipped out is a true beast(when compared to my other Newish pointers), popping a balloon almost instantly, and lighting a black match. Only thing is, the battery included is a POS!! I had like a few minutes of use before it died down to barely 5mw. Anyways, for $19, it's a great deal seeing it's so overspec. I didn't think for a moment he'd have a weak 5mw for sale for 3x's the cost of his other models.

Yea the battery is definitely a POS and as I stated before I believe it's a primary/non-rechargeable. I've already ordered a rechargeable from BatteryJunction for it. I'll post back here and let you guys know how the new battery performs.

As for your last sentence: That's what I was thinkin when I ordered it! :yh:

My CONGRATULATIONS on a BEAUTIFUL, GLOWING, BUNDLE OF JOY. Appreciate them all you can as they grow & hold them OFTEN. It won't be long 'till he can walk, then you'll NEVER catch him. Then, in the blink of an eye, he'll be 21, on his own, & maybe married.
I speak from personal experience. My son was born one day & it seemed like a month later, he tells me he want's to be a soldier, YIKES !!! They grow up THAT FAST !!! Also, seems like you got a nice laser the same day to boot. You MUST lead a GOOD LIFE (KARMA)

My Tenergy 3V 750mAh LiPo came in today.
Using the dedicated Tenergy smart charger, the batteries tested at 3.82V after charging.

Anyway, popped it in the Beast.
Would you believe 95mW peak? No mods, just waaaay overspec.
Settled down around 75mW after the first 30 seconds. Didn't run it over 1 minute. Nervous about such high output.

Hmm. Does anyone know can you use a 3.7v in these or would the 4.2v full charge be too much? I have an odd ball rechargeable 123A that's not being used for anything right now.
