Yup, I'm sure its just an estimate on their part, even so, 228$ greenie even at 300mw IRFiltered is still a great price I think!! The host is kinda nice too!
Can't wait to see Barbels review of this lil monster.

well bad news ,,,i just got a email from O-like (susie)
saying due to the fact that there running low on the newer model
now they want to send me the older 400mW greenie
so i am canceling my order ,,,and no longer ordering from O-like :gun:

they lied about the shipping (saying the newer model was already shipped)
and dropped the ball on the new upgrade
this was my 3rd strike from O-like

Went on their website...

Which leaves me with just one question... :wtf: are they doing.

Big reason why I'm 100% in on the next jetlasers gb...

I went on there website as well and seen 93 units in stock
I will be no longer making any orders to O-like
I placed the order on 06/23/2011
after a few weeks i asked when my laser would be sent out
susie said the wait was because they wanted to send me the newer 400mW
now she saying they want to send me the older 400mW
so I've been waiting weeks for nothing :banghead:
I'm done with O-like and susie :gun:

Oh wow was wondering this also as they still showing lots of units... odd how Susie emailed me yesterday about adding IR filter to this and never mentioned anything about being short stock. I can't see these being sold out already in 3 days lol... either way I already ordered a spartan yesterday...guess this green is off the next laser list.

It's possible they discovered the laser is underspec/low quality...

It's also possible they don't want to upgrade barbel1976 for free.

Either way... not a good approach to building up repeat clientele.

I would had paid the 14.99 more for the upgrade
it's not about the money to me , it's about the
waiting and the games O-like seems to be playing
either way i am done with o-like
sorry everyone about not being able to do the review

If anyone is in the US... I'll LPM one and ship it back usps priority w/confirmation on my dime. I really want to see an lpmed review of this laser... but I want to set aside money for a gb.

Or I might just take the risk, and ship it back to o-like if it doesn't live up to the power claims... spending $43 just to test out a laser irks me somewhat though:banghead:

On a different note, I wouldn't trust their safety glasses eitehr, got their 14.99 pair and some 18650's, have yet to use them, but the glases allow almost all teh red light through...my eagle pair that blocks 190-540 and 900-1700nm blocks more of the 660 then the o-likes do, oh and the chargers that came wit hthe batteries are worthless also, one of em said I had a fully charged li-ion that was DMM'ing 2.0V, luckily my rc charger was able to charge teh battery, since then I've butchered both o-like chargers and just have them connected to my rc charger.

Sorry for the thread jacking this probably should have went in the reviews or company thread but felt that since this thread was already talking about o-like thought I'd chime in on the dissapointment.

^^^Yup, I complained about the 650nm goggles they sell on another thread. I absolutely don't trust them. The chargers are crap, never even used them.

^ dunno; the RCR123A charger that I bought from O-Like (for my 200mw Gatlin) seems to work just fine. BUT I lack experience, and don't have anything to compare it to.

My next 2 lasers are going to be from Survival Lasers (a 405 and a 445), at least one of the purchases will be a full bundle with RCR123A charger.

I still like to see one of these tested, hope it was just a case of O-like not wanting to upgrade Barbel, although that in itself is a turn off from o-like since they told him to wait for the upgraded model coming out. He waited, was told it shipped, then told him he's getting the old model now .... *sigh*

Well, this Crown upgrade torch looks awesome and I´m thinking of buying it, but with mixed feelings. Recently bought a 200mW green module. Both lenses were totally disaligned and loose. The expanding lens was clicking insight its brass housing and the collimating lens was simply defocusing by just moving the module. After fixing this I LPMed it and it peaked at 209mW. So far not bad. But after a few days it started to behave very strange. (Already mounted in a good cooled housing with a huge heatsing covering the full module and thermal paste for better heat transfer.) When it was cold, it just gave a very dimm light. I had to warm it up, turn it off and on again to get it at it´s full power. Sometimes had to do this a few times till it got its full power. I also noticed some lost in brightness. LPMed it again and it was just putting out 50mW when cold and 168mW when warmed up. The next day it was just 150mW and now the diode is just LED.

So far I´m not sure I just had no luck or there is something in it more and more people are claiming to make bad experiences with o-like.

So far I only would order this nice toy when I´m sure the power will not decrease after a while like happened with the 200mW module to me. A simple review where it´s just LPMed after reciving it, will not satisfy me. I now need a 100% proof it will output the same amount of power after some usage. Lets say at least for about two weeks.

Also. People who don´t have a LPM might even not notice the decrease in power at the beginning.

@Paul0759 -

Why would you go for the older model?

@JBT - With many of the lasers, o-like sends out super cheap chargers that are supposed to work for any 3.7v battery. It is not the same as the cr123a charger that they sell.

This is what they include with the more expensive lasers:
18650 Lithium rechargeable battery with charger [OL-18650] - $6.20 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products

IMO it's an absolute piece of crap...

A simple review where it´s just LPMed after reciving it, will not satisfy me. I now need a 100% proof it will output the same amount of power after some usage. Lets say at least for about two weeks.

This is a new item... so you're gonna be waiting a good long while, and no one is going to give you 100% proof. O-like does take returns/exchanges but you pay shipping back. The old model was always somewhat of a crapshoot, although the ones that did come, generally did not degrade - at least I haven't seen anything to show that the power output declined. My own still puts out a steady ~450mW.

I'm about to buy this...

400mW green laser torch /focusable/waterproof [OL-532-350] - $214.00 : Welcome to O-Like.com, Your source for laser products

Anyone got a good reason why i shouldn't? or anyone got a better suggestion for $214?

They seem to be a little bit of a crap shoot.

I got one, which LPM'd at 130mW, with no IR filter.

I returned it, at a cost of $35 for Priority Mail shipping and insurance. After a month of "not yet received" responses, they finally acknowledged receiving it when I said I was going to claim the insurance and the USPS would start a trace.

Then when I finally got the replacement, it peaked at 498mW, with no IR filter.
