does anyone have any suggestions on where to buy a DPSS green module, without the heat sink, or driver. i just need the diode, housing, and aligned optics in some case similar to the standard axiz modules. Preferably with leads attached to the diode. but the output has to be at or above 300 mW

What you want is a green laser module. Take a look at CNI, Lazerer or even O-like.

I have a brand new 532 dpss module like you want with leads and no driver but it's rated at 150mW out.
If you want to push it harder you can but be ready for what happens.

PM me if interested.

LOL common you guys he wants a real green laser not a toy.

This is a 400mw green laser i have had some that do 350 and some that do just a bit over 500mw
They are 22mm.
Is this something like what you want?

Yes kiyoukan, that's more what I'm looking for, it would be just the module right? Optics and diode maybe some leads?

Edit: oh I didn't see the pictures first, on my mobile. The bigger one I assume is the 350mW, is there something similar in size to that standard module in green along the same power profile?

you want a 350mw green that is tiny?
No there are no such real things that will have any decent life.
The black one is a 400mw rated green laser.
That is the smallest true long life 400mw one you will get and costs about 175-200$.

Price isn't too bad. If it were to be properly cooled, via water jacket and TEC...would it be possible to use a smaller module, say the kinds sold all over ebay pumping 50 ish mW and upgrade the 808 diode? And have a decent life time?

you dont need the water just TEC.
No if you were to change those ones to use a 2W pump you would burn the crystals.

Just out of curiosity, What size diode is in the 400mW module? Is that something that could be possibly incorporated into a handheld with, say, a 14oz copper heat sink? Or is TEC pretty much necessary?

I only ask because I have a few hunks of copper laying around that need to be lasers, I think it would be friggin' schweet to build a 400mW 532nm.

they are 22mm
And they can be ran without a tec np the driver that i got free with mine even had a thermistor for temp shutoff
So you could
They need about 2.2V and about 2A

I was actually asking about the mW rating of the IR diode. Something like a 3-4W 808nm would be hard to cool. The thermistor is a good idea to prevent damage, but the laser still wouldn't be much fun if it overheated and shut off after 30 seconds. Might be a little much for me to deal with right now... fun to think about though.

Do you sell these? if not, where do you get them?

They use 2W pump diodes.
They are not currently sold on any open market.
Email o-like and ask for the green laser model from the 400mw laser.
And once they give you a price if its not 175$ try to barter down the 175$

Ava quoted me around 450 for their 300 mW at cni. Im going to just get my other two diodes and see how they blend with my 150mW 532. I hope its enough.

Also at burning the crystals, I thought they where actually like rock, crystals. I know the coatings are sensitive but...rock doesn't melt till...well hotter than a 2w can output right? I would think the epoxy would burn...
