Its just a spiro with a diffraction grating. I guess for the price its not to bad. But Laserlands rep kind of tanked a while ago. So longevity might be in question.

I'd recommend making your own. You can easily make a better one, and they are fun to build. You can add multiple colors, and more options to make more shapes.

If you just want a toy to mess around with, then go for it. But keep in mind this one IS just a toy.

I know it's just a toy, Thats all i plan using it for, just somthing to play around with and making cool effects. But i'm just concerned because you said their reputation kind of went down lately. Why is that? Because there not getting the items shipped out, or just beacuse of the quality of lasers?

By the way, T_J, it's not even a spiro. It's just a mirror on the end of a spring. You shake it, the spring shakes, you get patterns out.

If you search for the last dissection someone did on one of those you'll get to see the mechanism for yourself.

LOL, what a piece of crap.

I take my previous statement back. I wouldnt buy this. You could make this for under $10.

been reviewed several times- try a search. They are actually very interesting- way overspec (most anyway) and a good learning tool your younger lasert etthuasists.
GFs like them too. I hear someones is going to swap out the 30mW green for 200+ mW of 445.

Is this always called a "disco" laser, or is it adveratised differently on some sites? When I type in green disco laser on google i only get the laserlands one

focalprice has a lower price--free shipping --by several and get them for ~$15.
some are more overspec than others- take care if you open itup the clear lns in front falls out and is easily broken. It would be impossible to build one for that, even if you figure your labor at 0$..

I have several on hand-I ship free to conus--$28 each. quick delivery.

^^ if you had a chance to look inside( whick I know you have NOT, since you thought it had a spiro in there--lol) you would see that the parts you have above would not work easily. that mirror would not work at all. How do you plan to switch it off and change it from 'bouncy' to stareffect to pointer??

AND you left out some of the parts and it would most likely fall apart quickly- ALSO I know where to get them for around 10$--CHECKMATE!

You sound like NOOB quoting prices of parts and asking why thing are so overpriced.
