Was the downtime in the laser operation intended in the video? Usually, lasers on this forum are single switch circuits that turn on 'instantly'.

A sort of safety measure?

Yes the delay is a safety measure due to the power of the beast also so it can be
FDA approved. Although one day some idiot might not know And look into the Laser during the delay

No offense but WHY THE HELL would you spend $3000 on a laser ???:thinking::confused::confused: I mean I would love to have one but $3000 is quite excessive (I AM NOT A WICKED LASERS CHEARLEADER but just saying the krapton produces 750mw of power for $1000 and everyone complains that is overpriced but yet a Hercules is 3x that :wtf: :anyone: ) please don't flame me I am just wondering :eg::whistle:

The Hercules series lasers is the most stable handheld 532nm laser there is (as far as i know) on the market still to date.
I see you wonder, why's that.
Well, that's becouse this laser has a build in active fan to keep it cooled down so it has a 100% duty cycle.
It has the features of a tabletop module, with the (somewhat ^^) portability of a handheld.
It's a beats!@
There's no need to switch it off after 5 min of use couse of the build in fan.

Pun...

Why o why is a 200 dollar green laser worth it;st monwy ?
Why is a 5 dollar green laser worth the money ?

Dollars is mw in mind.. log lasting pure beauty

A fan doesn't cost $2000... Just saying Also why does it cost so much ? What part makes it cost $2000 more ? This is $600 532nm 600mw Bigsize Green Laser Torch FMK [RF532-600mw-FMK(IR Filtered)] - $695.00 : Rayfoss Lasers!, Rayfoss your trusable onlinestore you can't possibly tell me a fan some security measures a bigger host and 100mw more cost's $2500

Why is a 5 dollar green laser worth the money ?
A host $20
Module $70
Everything else $20-$50
The extra $90-$60 Profit

Host $.50
Module $1
Everything else $2
Profit $1.5

What about yours ?

you pay for the diode wich rayfross or any other don't provide... so chill.
The fan and others is just a bonus..

i've yet to see it. prove it.

Mine does 800mW +

This is the beast..

Nothing against you just I have been wondering what exactly makes CNI / Laserglow so expensive when the main part of a laser is the mw output why should a 750mW laser have a price range of $700-$3000 what is all the extra money for?

Hurcules has a green diode not DPSS ? That's all I needed to know bye :) btw why is a diode better than DPSS ? How much more stable is it? And define stable like is it no flashing, constant output or a higher power beam ? BTW sorry for hijacking the thread lol :D

there is no 2 ways about it when you buy from laserglow you pay for quality. there is no other explanation needed. and no the main part of a laser is not power. lets list a view: divergence, does it stay TM00, stable ourput, build quality, quality of overall components. also no it does not use a green diode its a DPSS laser.

Well technically you could hook the power source up to a car battery and hold it in your hand and then it would be a handheld :D Im going to bed now :tired:
