Bad day for my X105...

i would be so pissed if something like that happened to me. i'm glad i have fully informed my parents to NEVER touch anything in my room without consultation because i have many random electronic parts that look like junk that i may need.

How is it possible to jam the button in? Does this involve pushing the button really hard?

Yea a lock box would be very nice. I just keep my door locked when not home.

This could be a good thing for u man, think about it this way. First off all u'r mam and sis still have theyr vision and second i fu play this good u can get urself a new, maybe even better laser.
First off all u need to make a big fuss: This costed me a fortune, i had to save up months for it, it was my most prized posession, it's state off the art/ high tech gear and so on make them feel real guilty ;D. Oh yeah and if u tell them what it costed u don't be shy to add a few bucks here and there
So the next thing u need to do is figure out what laser u gonna buy next and the last step is obviously having u'r mom pay for it.
U might wanna consider chucking in some money urself and get some more power

My mom says that she will pay for repairs if Nova can fix it, if not a new laser. But I do feel bad making her pay $200+ for a laser, even if it was partially her fault.

Styropyro don't feel guilty man she broke u'r laser she ows u big time

I know I would feel a bit bad making someone pay for something like that but I guess that's just the person I am. I just hope that all goes well and everything gets fixed up. Maybe get a 5mW laser off DX for you sister so she can learn about them and stay away from yours. Personally though I don't blame you for getting mad, I've paid for all (and I mean ALL) of my laser stuff, probably reaching almost $1k now, so I treat it with full respect and that's why I spent the extra $$$ to get locks for my case.

Guys stop jacking this dood's thread, I play CNC3, its kik ASSSS and I love it, but here we are to talk about styropyro's laser which apparently got pummled, pwn3d, and screwed by his mom and his sis (shuldent it be we are here to talk about...) (EVIL SISTERS!!!)

My sister is 9, and she is EVIL!!! She almost blinded me!!! I was working withDIY SenKat red, without gogles (bad idea) and she decides to run from accross the room (about 20 feet) at full speed and completely maul and push me forward from behind, thinking it would be funny. I almost shorted my driver (which would have instantly killed the diode) and my head was shoved in fron tof the beam, the dot was 4 inhes from my eyes (by reflex I closed my eyes instantly too knowing the laser is dangerous). nuff said, sisters (little ones specially) are EVIL!!! Im getting my X-105, and thank you styro, because of this thread, I will know to leave it in a lockbox on top of my desk surrounded by a metal cage, chicken wire syle, which is hooked up to a 400 amp 3000V transformer.

BTW the tesla has like less than one amp, so it wouldnet kill you. you would get a NASTY AS HELL shock tho, if it was big. My uncle has a BIG tesla (which im afraid to touch LOL) and a mini one, like 3 feet tall. I shock myself withthat all the time. nasty as hell, but not fatal

DONT USE TURN DIAL COMBO LOCKS!!! YOU CAN EASILY SHIM THOSE!!! (not that my sister knows how to shim a lock tho...) USE A STEEL HARDENED PADLOCK!
