Rog when i put a load the voltage measurement became 4.2v but remain the needed current, so why the voltage drop, i use a zombie BR LD on its load and the voltage from 4.98v down to 4.2v, measurement across zombie BRLD using DMM. hows this.?

hi Rog what was the maximum power can be when im using 7805 LD driver in a BLURAY laser? is there a higher chance to get higher 10mw using that driver, actually im using 2pcs of RCR123A at total of 7.2v nominal 7.5v. can you give me an idea how to work with this? thanks.

hey i saw one in the youtube he call it surefire blueray pointer, he actually use 2 ultralast RCR123A, but i dont know what is the possible driver did he use for that, any ideas guys, i know i have lot more things to learn here. please bring me to the right path.

The problem is I made my 7805 pointer a long time ago, all I really remember is that I got it to lase point then added another 10ma. If I measured the voltage I don't remember what it was, sorry :-/
Think of it this way, you are adjusting the voltage but are using the current as your reference point. You should be able to adjust from zero ma to something over 40ma then you should be good to go with fitting the LD, if you measure 40ma as your minimum there is something wrong.......
