how to modify an ebayser

i have te same one! It didnt have threads though. but it looks exactly the same. i turned up the pot on it it and the fucker is bright! i had to rock it back and forth to get it out. It looks nothing like the guts in ur pic. it even burns now, through optics. The diode will probably die in a few days though.

i know this is old.. BUT.... there are these newer laser pointers that are everywhere on ebay and amazon, etc etc.. same style.. its the black one with the dimples....all the youtube videos show people taking the cap off the tip, then the diode/chip pull out with it.... this is not the case with the last 2 I bought.... the cap pulls off the end, but thats all it is...the chip no longer pulls out with it... anybody have any idea how to get these out now??? I KNOW THIS MAY CAUSE MY LASER TO DIE QUICKLY... but i've already done it to 1 (somehow the tip was like the videos on this one) and its lasted a few weeks now and going.....

Doesn't anyone introduce themselves anymore? Just jump straight to a 3 year old thread? Come on, people.

The cheapest ebay pens aren't meant to be disassembled, you cannot remove the glued module
from the pen short of "peeling" away the pen itself untill only the module is left.....

If you want the kind you can pull apart, get pens from dealextreme.

I know you honestly don't care if i say, "hello" because everyone just says, "hello" HI, hi, HI, hello... etc etc

it doesnt seem to matter where I buy them from, they all look the same, they just have different internal parts... some have the pot, some don't.. seems like a crap shot so far
