That O-like at 200mw for 169 seems very reasonbale but im also looking into the 150mw pen point from Optotronics

You can do some burning with a 100mw or so, lol..
Shipping to Canada may cause some taxes and it might save you some if the declared value is less than 50 usd. A suggestion.

Please make sure you have goggles if you are dealing with 500mW of green. We don't want fried retinas here...

Well if im planning to use it inside I certainly will look into getting some. But for youtside use I don't really need according to all that ive read here :)

I didnt have a metre at the time but my o-like 550mW burnt table legs in seconds from 5foot whilst focused to infinity. my 900mW 445 can barely do that, so dunno what the 532 was running at lol.

I understand the only reason I would ike to go nuts is because this will be my only purchase for a long time and I want to be completely satisfied and not have any regrets thats all. So you still say only 250-300mw eh?

250-300 will probably be adequate for what you expect, but if you can afford it I would recommend getting the best you can. ofc, be aware of safety, but personally i dislike settling for what I see as mediocrity.
