Just as the title says.. If you have an old CNI pens 589nm or similar
have no use for it and have it kicking around, I would like to buy or
trade for parts or laser..

Value would be based on age and condition. Let me know what you
have and are willing to part with :D

Also looking for handheld 473's or anything DPSS other than green.

Got those already and had an idea while stripping the non warranty one.

What I can say is the design of these pens is pretty basic. I expected better
for what these go for new. The driver is pretty crazy looking I must say
but thats all ive been impressed with so far. Whoever put the one together
shouldnt get a Christmas bonus this year :tsk:

Interesting none the less..

What kind of diode are they using in GLPs?
5.6mm, 9mm, C-Mount?

I'd love to see some quality photos of the guts on those! I'd really like to get a 473 but they're still pretty damned pricey. I paid 400 bucks for my first green when they were becoming available.... I don't want to do that twice.

Looks to be a modified c-mount cut down with rounded off corners. Cant
say for sure as im not going to push the diode, but may be a underdriven
2W with FAC.

Haha, paid nearly the same for my 7mW leasdlight from z-bolt back in the
day. 2001 IIRC.
