Shouldn't be too long...
Hey Gordon, your sink is ready. Shipping today.

Easiest way to screw the module in and out is to use an AixiZ module with lens nut glued into it to screw into the AixiZ module in the custom sink and then turn...

Oh thats just my lamp base. I liked the general design but it only came in a questionable fake carbon fibre finish ;D

I think you should automatically get an email - though you may have to set that in your board user preferences.

Hey I have a few of these what would you recommend? Also do you include the flex-drive?

Those look fine. The head screws off which what is needed. $35 gets you a $11 host and a customs sink including shipping. Or if you supply the host then the cost is $35-$11 = $24 shipped back to you. The flexdrive is not included as they cost $21 each.

Re: Heatsinks - machined to your specs. Optional h

Just thought I'd let people know about my little accident today.

I was examining the clicky switch on my romisen host with a long canned red [240mW @ 420mA]- felt a little weird. Took it apart to see what it looked like and put it back together.
Screwed it onto the host and without me knowing, the laser was turned on- the lens cap I had on it was black so the dot on the cap was very dim.
Anyways, I came back like 2 or more hours later [however long it takes to drain a 3.7v rechargable from 4.1v to 3.25v @ 420mA] and the host was very hot to the touch.
I thought for sure I had killed the diode because it wasn't lasing. I clicked it off and took out the battery and let it cool off. Put in a fresh battery and it still lased :eek:!
Only now there was a lot of noise on the spot no matter how focused it was. Did a power measurment and it was at 220mW :eek:!
Replaced the lens with a new one and did another power measurement and it was at the original power of 240mW; The spot isn't even deformed at all :eek:!

All in all, these hosts are very high quality and provide an unlimited duty cycle for even high powered red lasers. Blurays & phr's should be no problems.
Not a bad deal for $35 ::)
