After being let down by WL and having sent my laser back today im now seriously looking at what my next laser should be.

The first choice is the x-105 from nova with the carrycase and lightyear reward points which costs $229 + shipping charges - the 5% forum discount.

Second choice is a second hand Lucent Envee 100mw with otterbox included for $210
Seller: "it can pop a baloon from 6-10 feet instantly as you can see here . http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Z_8uejQJfo I still have the original packaging box and it has a warranty what not so should you not be satisfied i`m sure you could have it replaced. From personal experience with lasers it definately feels that it has 100mw as it burns and stings your skin pretty quickly,as i said i barely used it"

The video doesnt look like 10ft but it still popped it so hey.

So, can i have some honest opinions here about what you rekon is a better deal.

Thanks a lot guys
Rich

I would say without a doubt Nova's X105.  First of all, your definately gonna get more then 105 mw, its gonna be stable as hell (my x85 only drops from 100.1 peak to 98.4 average!) and they have awesome customer service.  I have yet to see someone on here go wrong with a Nova Laser. Plus the carrying case is sick 8-)

Good Luck with the purchase.

All I can say is I am very happy with my X105. The also send me a diffraction grating for free and it is awesome.

Even if all things were equal...(I don't think they are...but let's assume).

The X-105 is new..and will have a warranty.

If it arrived DOA..or dies while within Warranty..you're covered!

The Lucent is used...if it dies a day after you get it..(not that it would) your out of luck.

Good Luck To You!!!

Yeah, in my mind i have already chose the X-105 but i was just seeking some assurance :)

As a little side note - the ONLY Lucent product I have EVER heard of that works is Merl's..... That is really the only objective comment I can make....So I will stop there :P
