Jetlasers ignores my emails to ask if i can buy one...i have a 523nm laser thats unusable because i lost the tailplug...the 3,5mm one.
Does someone make these or has these? Would be awesome to already get a push in the right direction.
Thanks!

That 3.5mm mini plug is pretty standard for audio and computer equipment and earbuds, at least in the U.S. Couldn't you buy a plug from an electronics supply shop, or even just cut the plug off of a pair of broken earbuds to use as the key?

When I bought my Jetlasers unit, I ordered it without the tailcap plug interlock so I don't know if the plug mechanically closes a circuit in the tailcap or if the plug has to be internally shorted out to close the circuit. Either way, a little experimenting would show which way is necessary to make it work. If it needs to be internally shorted and you are using a salvaged plug from bad earbuds, then just solder the wires together to have a working key.

Hope this helps.

Like above said, you can easily make this yourself. Just cut a 3.5mm plug off some old headphones and connect both wires so it creates an electrical circuit. Then insert it and you're ready to go.

i tried some of my earphones, they do not work. i thought it would. i think the place where the connection is, is not on the same place as on standard 3,5mm plugs.

Did you cut the plug off the earphones and short the wires together? If it's a good pair of earphones and you don't want to cut the plug off them you could just buy the cheapest earbuds you can find and cut the plug off those.

Gray, Jet Lasers customer service is the best I have ever dealt with in any company. Lasers or other. How many emails did you send?

Stereo headphones have three sets of conductors but only two are insulated. The common ground comes out frayed and should wrap around the two sleeved types, the ground barrier minimizes EMI by shielding inducted noise. Make sure the frayed ends are shorted to both channels. then see if that works

Im not sure about Jet lasers plugs but PGL's plugs are completly different to earphone jacks. I just looked at the 2 side by side.

You could also try a nail. Just cut it down to a length that will allow easy removal and get rid of any point and edges.
