Hello,
I'm just curious to see if anybody has a green laser already in Australia. I'm a bit scared to order from overseas.

I have ordered safety goggles for this wavelength and am fully aware of laser safety. I have a budget of $75 including shipping.

Please offer.

Thanks!

I'm not sure what the price of shipping would be on a C6 host but they can be bought very inexpensively, and you can slap a generic chinese 12mm module in there quite easily. IIRC you can safely import OEM parts still downunder, just not working lasers. C6 + cheap chinese module (I get mine from LaserLands.net (may not be up to spec) or Lazerer) = awesome DIY green laser.

Good luck on finding one already made (not being sarcastic, I mean it), hope someone can help ya out. =)

This is probably the perfect answer...

Before I was looking at Adrian (Bobhaha) making me another laser, but I was picking the 50mW O-like module and it was a bit expensive. I was trying to find cheaper modules that still work well, because the Rayfoss one I got is okay but it isn't the best.

So is Laserlands good for modules? Thanks for that! I'll take a look there now!

I've had good luck with all my modules from LaserLands... but there have been issues for other people in the past with them. Trick is to not spend a lot of money there, and to pay with paypal. There is no guarantee it will be up to or over spec, but if you're only looking for 50mW, they can be had pretty inexpensively and there's a very good chance they're up to or close to spec. Everything I've bought from them has been up to spec, and not just modules. But again, other people have had problems with underspec items.

What about Lazerer? I'm thinking about ordering everything from there including a 100mW green module, DIY host and battery with a charger.

Thanks!

Ya, Lazerer is safe to order from. Everything gets checked on the way out and should be up to spec, and the customer service is unprecedented for a Chinese company. Max (the owner) posts here and really cares about his customers.
