hello im pretty new to the laser world and I was wondering if this would work to make a laser. Ebay item number: 220113957030 Would you just hook this up to some batteries and monut it in a nice little case or is it much more complex then that?? if not how could this diode be used to make a laser

Yup - you got it ! Some batteries, a case to hold everything in, and away you go !

but I need a switch too, so how would I wire thet to the diode??     sorry im a newb  :'(

Common practice is to wire a switch in series with the +ve supply to your diode. -ve should be fixed and hardwired. You could of course do it the other way around.
