So the other day i was reading the new Guinness book of world records, and i stumbled upon the worlds largest chopsticks, which were about 20ft long, i cant remember exactly. I thought this would be an awesome record to beat, so i applied online, but it costs $610.10 to apply!!!!!!!! wtf?!?! I need to start a fund for the "laserterd and his attemt to break the world record for the worlds largest chopsticks, donate here" or something...

Anyone else ever thought of breaking a record but shut down because it costs about as much as you could get a really good blue laser for!?

You've got to be kidding me. They want money to put your name in a book that they make money off of? You know they make a bucket load of money since they come out with a new book each year.

Well you have to make them, theres no where you can buy anything like that. I would just use large pieces of wood and shape them to the same proportions as regular chopsticks, unless the guidelines require you to make it out of bamboo, like real chopsticks. Or if they require it to be one solid piece, cuz thatd be hard to do...

Anyway, if anyone wants to donate to the "laserterd breaking worlds largest chopsticks record but needs 610 dollars to apply", paypal me any amount to strongholdmail@hotmail.com ;D ;D ;D ;D

'Real' chopsticks aren't always made of wood bamboo (edit:typo). There is for example a set of 4 pairs of chopsticks with increasing shades of brown, made of four types of quality wood. To make things worse, about 50% of the free 'break' chopsticks (the one you use once and throw away) are made of bamboo.

Yeah, altough bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants in the world, so the bamboo for the chopsticks that we all throw away is easily renuable. that still fills the landfills a lot and creates a lot of trash though.

That is really a lot of bull.....If they charge that much to apply then their book does not reflect the true world records(i mean you know...the second places.all records are held by Chuck Norris) ::) because surely a lot of poor people have higher records but were unable to apply. :P
