Woodturner needs more help

Hi there I'm back
I ordered an AXIZ laser diode about 660nm and about 8mm X30mm at 3 volts.
Every thing is ok except it makes a line instead of a dot. I'm asking for a favor here. Could some one lookup and find for me, a part no. or catalog no. for a 3 volt adjustable focus diode that makes a dot. I'm trying to make a locating device to tell me wall thickness for a hollow vase. I would adjust the dot location in referance to the cutter edge.
When I go to AXIZ I'm so confused.
Doesn't need much power. It really only needs to shine 12 to 18 inches.

Those line generating optics can be easily removed. Can you take some pictures of the module so we can help you modify it to your needs?

I don't see how that helps It's brass, 8mm in dia and 30mm in length with a black and red wire comming out no lables. I couldn't get it apart.
This seems just so hard to get a simple ____ dot. Sorry

Does it need to be 8x30
If not then
650nm 1mW 8x13mm Laser Module with Focusable Lens, AixiZ
Could be a suitable solution

Physical size is of little importantce 8mm or 12mm 30mm or 50mm Is there a part number?
