Why is this High Power 405nm so cheap with Lazerer?

Hey guys i am buying a new laser, haven't decided where yet but upon checking Lazerer i notice a 500mw 405nm for $99, what is the catch? Okay allow me to put it a nicer way because i know Lazerer is a quality site that sells lasers at low prices, but what i mean is if most 405nm of that mw are much more expensive, does this mean i can expect bad divergence, beam diameter, bad dot etc. with this laser or would it just be that it's shelf life might be slighter shorter than more expensive 405nm's.

Thanks a lot, really considering it.

$100 for a 500mW 405nm laser is pretty good.

It's mostly down to economics of scale, and cheap labor imo. (Due to volume lazerer is able to get better deals on diodes, hosts, etc,.)

Also, while I'm a big fan of lazerer, there is absolutely no comparing their lasers (405, 445, 638, 660) versus those that are custom made on here.

Yeah, buying from members here IMO is the way to go, I've received some very nice well made builds that you can't buy anywhere else. From what I've heard lazerer's quality is good, if you looking for a decent cheap 405nm to kick around go for it.
