Whoa 532nm diodes!?!!?

Its just a really small module, I suppose you could collimate it and put it in a pointer, but as electron said it has really bad divergence because it probably doesnt have any collimating optics.

Hey,

are you sure its just another dpss? Because they have their DPSS lasers in a seperate category, I have not downloaded the specs of the diode, but I am not so sure its a pumped crystal??? But then again it would be the logical answer...

Yes, green diodes are not yet available on the market, they are still in research and cost big bucks, as far as I am aware anyway.

Why dont you e-mail them and find out ?

diachi

Because I have a feeling that, if they are the real deal, I'm gonna have to sell my car to get one :D

j/k..(but not really)...i'll shoot them an e-mail hehe

Cool, tell us what they say, you may be waiting a few days for a reply, companies like that often take a day or two to get back to you.

We'll just need to wait and see.

they have a spec in the datasheet saying "Residual IR:"... also it takes 380mA to produce 1mW?

yeah, they're dpss.

Ahh well that cleared things up...to be honest I was too lazy to dl the pdf file...but hey thats what customer service is there for...

I've seen quotes of these well over 1k each. (I think, it was a while ago) So I think we're better off buying some 30mW DXs for a few bucks for now! :P

Rhith you are right about the high price, I actually think it was a little higher than $1000 a diode.
