Where do i start?

Im looking (not hard enough i guess) on a "how to build your own 150mw or higher laser"

Is there a simple guide on what i need to make my own? I have plenty of handheld flashlights that use 3x AAA batteries

Get a laser diode installed in a module with a collimating lens here:

If your flashlights use 3 AAA batteries, take a look at this driver:

You MUST use a driver if you want your diode to live. If you connect it directly to the 3 AAA batteries it will DIE instantly.
