What mA preset should I use?

This is my first ever post! Just joined today, hello everyone! :)

I have all the components for my first laser build and now i just need the FlexdriveV4 driver. My question is:

What should I preset the driver to (mA) for my SF-AW210 diode?

Bearing in mind I want it to last a long time but still have a visible beam and possibly burn stuff.
I bought my diode from HighTechDealz pre-mounted in a Aixiz Laser Module. Here's the link:

I says on the site "I recommend driving these at ~200mA to get a high power at around 125-200mW, and have a stable long life."
Now im not sure how long it would last at 200mA so, does anyone have any idea from their experiance how long these things last and at what mA?

to the Forum...

There is a lot of Laser info on the Forum.... but you will need to read it
on your own...

Your question is a little redundant... the seller suggests the current to set
the diode...
It is obvious that if you drive the LD with less current that the LD's life
expectancy will go up... and the Laser's output power will go down...

Doing a little research on the forum will allow you to see the experiences of
other members that have built lasers with similar LDs....

Welcome to the forums Ben.

As lasersbee said, ya gotta do some research before you ask questions that have been answered before. I'll admit, I made the same mistake lol, just make sure you've searched all that you can before you ask anything on here, it just ends up cluttering the forums up.

But good luck and hope you find all your info on here, chances are you will, and good luck with your build and future projects.
