Hello, I would like to get an idea if I can make an 808nm 3 watt laser myself or is it just better off simply buying one from Odin:

Here is their laser 3watt 808nm laser pointer link to get an idea:

Can anyone explain how the "Odin" 808nm 3 Watt pointers works?
Which laser diodes are they using?
How is it able to produce 3 watts of optical power?
I would like to understand why is it worth $700 (before tax and shipping) and is it simply better to buy from them or I can rather DIY.

Thanks for any info.

Stay away from reseller Biglasers--they do not make any lasers, just rename manufacturers products, and overcharge for everything they do have and don't have.

Jetlasers is not a reseller they are the manufacturers of the laser pointers they sell
They make and sell a range of IR laser pointers at 50% of the price Big nothing is charging.
Jetlasers 1 piece retail prices for IR laser pointers are $199 to $399.
