I ordered some dragon laser goggles, one for green, and one for red.

I got the LSG02 and LSG08

Laser Safety Glasses, Goggles, Eyewear :: Dragon Lasers

The "LSG02" i got looks absolutley nothing like the picture, but the LSG08 looks as the picture.

Im concerned because I ordered these goggles because i know forum members have done tests on them and they seemed to be adequate.

im pissed off because I dont even know if these random-ass goggles will protect me or not. I emailed them but no reply so far.

I just got into lasers, but happen stance is starting to piss me off, its been twice ive been shipped the wrong items by separate people already, and ive had to shell out extra money to get the proper item.

Ill attach some pictures.

as you can see, the ones with the red lense do NOT have the same frame as the green one, which looks like the one at the site.
if anyone has tried these ones i have, and they are alright, i wont be so pissed, but i feel like i dont know what im getting, and what if i get eye damage cus of some shit company that cant take orders?

Thanks for reading.

I'm going to add to this post

When I shine my green laser through the glasses meant to block green, i cannot see anything with my naked eye on the surface im shining at, through the glasses. This is with a laser that puts out at lease 50mW of green, being very conservative.

On the other hand, when i shine my ACTUALLY LESS THAN FIVE MILLIWATT red laser thru the glasses meant to block red, i can see a red dot coming through.

What is going on?? Im afraid to order a nice high powered red laser because of this.

Turns out the "|wrong" glasses i got are seemingly more effective than the correct ones.

The red ones (LSG02) block blue and the green ones (LSG08) are for blocking red and green. The ones
that only block red are blue. Think about it. If the lenses look red, that means they are letting the red light
through and blocking the blue. You only had to buy the green ones. Look at it this way. If you ever get a
blue laser, you now have a good set of goggles and chalk the rest up to experience.

Hey man, Thanks for the reply

I have a relatively high powered 405nm.

I coudlnt have just bought the one pair.

LSG08 does not block green, so i needed LSG02 for my green laser.

LSG02 does not block red, so i needed LSG08 for my red laser.

I dont think i could have gotten away with one pair. But I have some blue on the way, but besides the point.

Okay, sorry you're right. I saw 5xxnm and my brain said "green", but 589nm is most definitely yellow.
Are you sure your "less than 5mW" red is actually red and not IR. If it is then this is not good. Dragonlasers
used to sell the better glasses. I guess they sold all those and are now
selling the same junk everyone else does on eBay, etc. By a sheer stroke of luck, I could not complete
the checkout process on their site and had to buy from Survival Laser instead. I suggest you do the same
as those work very well and are actually cheaper after shipping.

Yeah its just one of those little typical laser pointer pens, not the ebay super boosted ones. its not very much brighter than a dollar store laser. And most definetly 650nm.

I'm sure its just a newer design they didnt update on the site. If youre worried contact them. Also, if you have an lpm you can test it to see if its okay to use. Have fun lasing!
