I heard somewhere that green lasers were tricky and I was just wondering if you hook them up the same way you do a blu-ray or red laser like is the spring the positive and is the case the negative.
here is a link to the laser module I want to get I just need to know if I can put it in a dorcy jr flashlight

If anyone has put a green laser in a dorcy jr please tell me how you did it
I already built a blu-ray dorcy with a dark_horse full body heat sink so I'm not completely dumb in lasers but i want to get into green lasers because they are soooooo cool ;D ;D
thanks for your help everyone  8-)

OK so in this case if I wanted to put it into a dorcy jr all I would have to do is flip the battery so the case is positive and the spring on the inside would be touching the negative.
That makes sense right??
Also this might be a dumb question but what would happen if I hooked it up backwards would it damage the laser?

i have fliped batteries in my pen style lasers so many times and nothing happend... it seems for me that those modules are same like in pen's..
i think you mustn't worry

In normal case green lasers wich are case positive have batteries flipd.

"Normal" position ist what everybody knows from the beginning(first flashlight).
Nipple to front.

Green lasers are the only exception i know.

Nipple backward! (to give + to the case)

Normaly the green lasers driver have protection diode agains reverse polarity.
Idk if this save the diode forever! Better not try the protection. ::)
