I've got a moderate collection of strange light bulbs. Argon glow-discharge, neon glow-discharge, LED, CFL, circline fluorescent, halogen, low pressure sodium, high pressure sodium, quartz metal halide, ceramic metal halide, high pressure mercury vapor, low pressure germicidal, mercury short-arc, induction... I don't have many pictures though.

CFL from the 80s. magnetic ballast with glow starter

Arc tube of a high pressure mercury lamp

Low pressure sodium (this one broke, but still sorta works)

Self-ballasted induction lamp next to an equally powered CFL

Germicidal lamp. Lots of UVC - extremely bad for you.

^FUCK Australian laws! I have more pics to upload sooon.
What are Australia's gun laws? I know that they ban semi-auto rifles and stuff, but from what I've heard you can still own 'some' guns.

Oh you can get guns, but as you said you can forget semi automatic rifles ,sniper rifles designed as that ie big thick barrels for better accuracy not just a scope on a normal rifle and similar very high powered rifles ,you cant get a hand gun unless your in a gun club have a perfect police record and its kept in a gun/rifle locker and the like. you cant carry a hand gun around with you, its only for when your taking it to a shooting range unless ,you are in law enforcement ..if you are a farmer you can get a shotgun and a rifle but nothing like what you can get in the US .I'm pretty sure this is correct, but if other aussies know more please, jump in ....back in the early eighties you could buy high powered rifles i had a 30.06 and a 270 Winchester. I just had to go to a police station fill out paperwork as to my criminal record ie none and back to the shop a week or so later to buy a rifle of my choice. I never remember being able to get a hand gun, it was involved very and even then you had to be in a gun club with a reference from the club and a gun locker to keep it in. Its only got a lot worse since then .

Shit I didnt know they were that bad in aus. Ive got quite a few guns. 270, sks, ak-47 (silencer, flash supressor, bayonet, quick loaders for these 2), 4-10, 12 gauge, concealed carry .38 pistol (tiny!), 9mm, a few 22 rifles single shot and semi.

I live in west virginia though, where this is actually a small collection :p

Id like to get one of these low pressure sodium lamps, about how much would I need to spend for a small one?

This is my most prized collection, not shown is a 1943 Mosin Nagant. For Canada this is considered "severely gun crazy".

About the guns:
Handguns:
Smith & Wesson M&P 40: .40 S&W
Norinco Woodsman: .22 LR

Shotguns:
Maverick 88 Pistol Grip: 12 gauge
Stoeger M3500 Semi-Auto: 12 gauge
Cooey Break action: 12 gauge
(The other semi-Auto I sold)

The Rest:
2 x Russian SKS. 1954 & 1953:7.62x39mm
Ruger 10-22(archangel stock):.22 LR 3-9x40 optics
Remington Model 700 SPS: 7mm Rem Mag. 4-12x40 optics
Mosin Nagant 1943: 7.62x54R (not shown)

1 Bronze Star close up next to medal of honor. 4th highest award to US Army
2 Navy Cross close up 2nd highest award to US navy and marines.
3 WW2 Senior French officers medals with some very high orders of gallantry in it for fighting with the resistance during the war.
4 Medal of Honor close up United States highest award for Gallantry. Awarded to a Staff Sargent in Vietnam for jumping on top of a grenade to save the men around him in the dugout they were in.
5 Group shot of the rest of my complete US collection rather than spread them all over the table.
6 WW1 British gallantry group to a Captain with Military cross and french criox de guerre at the end for dragging in a wounded man under fire from the Germans,in August 1916
7 Group of British miniatures in frame from Boer war 1899 service to Vietnam 1975
8 WW1 British Military medal and bar group meaning second award for bravery to a SGT who went through the entire war but was KIA on the very last day of the war 11/11/1918.The round plaque in center was given to next of kin, the Bar above the first medal is the indication he was awarded that medal twice for bravery.
