Waterproof 1000mW Blue Laser Dim

I have one of the 1000mw waterproof blue lasers that you see everywhere on chinese sites (DHGate, DinoDirect, Etc.) Well yesterday it suddenly went dim and now it it's very dim and doesn't shine a beam anymore. I've tried different batteries with the same result so it's definately something with the laser. Any ideas? Anyone ever been able to crack one of these open to replace the diode/driver etc? Thanks in advance.

I assume you mean pictures of the problem. I'm at work now and can't post them but just imagine a dim blue light coming out of the diode, almost as if it was a blue LED. As far as pictures of the laser itself, just click the link in the original post.

Of the problem, but you are probably right, you have a blue LED.
