The switch on my Rominsen L-C030 broke, and i can't find any way to fix it.
I doubt DX would do anything about it, so i was just wondering if anybody had a cheap replacement host i could use, or just a replacement switch would be the best.
It can be seen in this picture:

I know its probably a long-shot, but i'm going into laser deprival...

You can probably make a replacement yourself if you think about it. All you need to do is connect the + end of the batteries to the wall of the tube.

switches like that arent very hard to come by. I can go to the local convenience store and they'll have some $2 garbage flash light that has a similar switch to the one you have.

Can you post the pics of your switch.. depending on the damage I might be able to tell you how to fix it... assuming that it's not shattered into 50 pieces :P

I just tried that and it didn't work.
I connected a wire from the postive end to the unanodized threads on the main body.
I'll double check my batteries and get back.

EDIT: just saw the second response, there is no visible damage to the switch, and i have no idea how i would go about taking it apart.
If you want me to anyway, i could grab a couple pics.

Why don't you send it to someone with a lathe that can try to fix you up a tailcap, and then add your own clicky switch?
Just a suggestion..
And if that's too expensive then buy a new laser and send me the old one :P

Alright, i was doing some testing, and no matter which section i use, connecting negative to the spring, and positive of the case, it doesn't work. Period.

The only thing that works is connecting the negative to the spring, and positive directly to the brass module.

Hey Frogger.. I just took apart my flashlight that is pretty similar... just cheaper, but still has similar components.

Can you just point me to which connections you've tried and it worked. Just trying to narrow down where the problem exists to help understand how to help you out.

I'll be gone for an hour or two, but when i get back, i'll take a couple pics or maybe a video of what i've tried.

I have one I could possibly send you ....

Youd only need to pay for shipping .

I could actually send you the whole case with a heatsink drilled for an aixiz so you could build a DIY into it . I also have a blank Aixiz here too.

I'll PM you and we can sort something out .
