Uses for DVD/CD RW Optics?

Is there anything I can do with these tiny optics that come out of DVD and CD RWs? I have loads of lenses and what look like some tiny little cube beam combiners, I even salvaged a ultra tiny diffraction grating from my old DVD RW, just its only about 3mm big and a diamond shape.
