Unknown laser diodes (need help)

I have a lot of unknown laser diodes from viatoll system cameras (basically, their job was to scan the plate of passing car), they are IR most likely. Couldnt find any info about them. How can I get the most info, destructive testing on a few of them is fine since I have a lot. Can they be useful/valuable?

They will be low output power, you could check with SICK AG for more details, but they may not tell you.
I attempted to look up the numbers but to no avail.

I would open one up and see what's inside, figure out the pin out.

If you know anyone with a spectrometer, they can be measured. That's how I got the wavelenghts of many Sharp diodes tha were later sold at reasonable prices according to thier wavelength.

Exactly--why would anyone want to waste the time, money, and equipment doing disassembly, pin-out, and testing + pay the shipping especially when nobody wants one of the old used items.
Is a bit too much expect of anyone. Takes a lot of unabashed self-assertiveness to suggest or expect same.
