Re: Eye damage of some kind?

Go see another eye doctor if you are still having issues - they may know what's up from your symptoms. It doesn't *sound* like damage to your retina to me, but I'm not an eye doctor.

I'd see if perhaps you need glasses too.

the symptoms only came after using the laser

and actually 2 eye doctors checked my eyes with the retina telescope
but only 1 doctor checked my eyes with the oct test.
thanks for your comment tho.

Re: Eye damage of some kind?

Those symptoms don't really fit the profile of laser damage. No one here would be qualified to give you a proper medical opinion here though.

Possibly you're seeing floaters for the first time, experiencing some other eye related issues, or are developing astigmatism.

Generally speaking a large scotoma (blind spot) the most common result of a laser hit, is pretty noticeably.

Try an Amsler Grid test, something like this; Dr. Lin Wang

Also if the lines are something like this;
badqA.gif

Those are floaters, and are basically normal, unless you're seeing A LOT of them.

Again, if you're worried, see an ophthalmologist, tell them your symptoms as best you can, and have them test you.

I know what floaters are
but again I get the horizontal lines from the pc screen when reading text that the website theme is black and the text is birght gold/white
this is how it looks like http://math.hws.edu/javanotes/c3/parallel-lines.png
and I was at the ophthalmologist he said he don't notice something not normal.

Again, doesn't sound like anything laser related. Possibly you're sensitive to different color schemes, it happens. You can change the LPF theme so it's not black & white in settings. Might also be screen related.

Eye doctor would do the most to help.

I never had the color sensitve before using the laser
also I think I have a bit of focus on objects problem
according to your grid
I don't have blind spots but the white of the greed I see slightly more whiter then the real greed when I move my eyes and focus I see the real white color.

Re: Eye damage of some kind?

You freaked me out there InfinitusEquitas with that darn floater example.
I have some floaters but dang, that image looks like some serious floaters going on and I was like whoa, that floater is massive!!!

It's a really enlarged example, but it's accurate imo. If you actually see floaters like that, that BIG, or A LOT of them, that's a sign of internal damage, and a doctor needs to been asap.

I have many floaters, large and small. They look just like the picture. I've had them for years, at least all my (adult) life that I can remember. Sometimes when I'm bored I practice keeping one in the center and holding my focus on it but it's not that easy.

I have a regular ophthalmologist since he performed lasik on me in 2000, he said they weren't a concern, some people have them. I didn't notice any changes after the surgery.

Now I don't mean to imply that you shouldn't be concerned if you have some, especially if the size and/or number has changed. That could be a sign of retinal detachment. Like it was said, it's best to see an ophthalmologist to be safe.

A sudden change in the quantity or size is a concern. Having some is 100% normal though.

I have them, not a lot but some, most people do. Definitely more noticeable in bright conditions, when pupil is contracted.
